Privacy Policy
How Robb's Electric handles the information you share with us through this website, in plain English.
Effective: August 19, 2026
This policy explains what information Robb's Electric collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it the way we would explain it on the phone rather than the way a form contract reads.
The short version: we collect what we need to respond to your request and run the site, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone who is not helping us do the work.
Who we are
This website is operated by Robb's Electric LLC, 505 Broadway St, Carver, MN 55315. You can reach us by phone at (952) 448-4030 during office hours, Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Robb's Electric is a licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contractor (license EA001548) that has served the Twin Cities metro since 1964. When this policy says "we" or "us," that is who it means.
Information you give us
Forms on this site are processed by our scheduling provider, which is the software we use to book and manage work. When you submit a request, the information goes to that provider and comes to us through it. That provider handles the data under its own terms and privacy practices in addition to this policy.
Depending on which form you use and how much you choose to fill in, the information collected typically includes:
- Your name
- Your phone number and email address
- The service address or the general area where the work would happen
- A description of the work you are asking about, including anything you type into a message or notes field
- Your preferred timing, if the form asks for it
We use that information to respond to you, to price and schedule the work, and to keep a record of the job. We do not need anything else, and we would rather you did not send us anything else. Please do not put payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive identifiers into a website form.
If you would rather not use a form at all, calling (952) 448-4030 works just as well and always has.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records some technical information on its own when you visit: the pages you look at, roughly where in the world you are based on your IP address, the type of device and browser you are using, and the site or search that sent you here. That information is about traffic patterns rather than about you personally, and we look at it in aggregate.
Cookies and analytics
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses cookies for two things: remembering choices you make, such as dismissing the cookie notice, and measuring how the site is used.
For traffic measurement we use or expect to use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies and reports visits to us in aggregate. If analytics is not yet active when you read this, it is being turned on around the time the site launches, and this section describes it either way so the policy does not have to change quietly later.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can decline non-essential cookies from the notice on this site. The site works either way. Turning cookies off may mean a preference you set is not remembered on your next visit.
Third-party services we rely on
We use a small number of outside services to run the site and the business. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Our scheduling provider, which processes the request forms on this site and holds the job records that come from them
- Our website host, which serves these pages and keeps basic server logs
- Our analytics provider, which measures site traffic as described above
- Embedded maps, which load from Google and may set their own cookies when a page containing a map is displayed
These providers act on our behalf. They are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising. The only times we would share it outside the providers listed above are narrow and practical: when you have asked us to, when a subcontractor or supplier needs it to complete work you hired us for, or when we are legally required to produce it.
How long we keep it
Job records, estimates, and invoices are kept as long as we need them for the work, for warranty coverage, and for our tax and business records. That is a matter of years rather than weeks, because a one-year warranty and a question about a panel we installed a decade ago are both real situations.
Requests that never turn into work are kept for a reasonable period and then cleared out. Analytics data is retained by our analytics provider under its own retention schedule.
Keeping information secure
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and the providers we use offer their own security protections. No website or company can promise perfect security, and we are not going to be the first to claim it. What we can tell you is that we keep the amount of information we collect small on purpose, which is the most reliable protection there is.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging electrical work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we will remove it.
Questions, corrections, and removal
If you want to know what we have, correct something, or ask us to remove your information, call (952) 448-4030 or write to us at Robb's Electric LLC, 505 Broadway St, Carver, MN 55315. Ask for whoever handles privacy questions and it will get to the right person.
We will do what we reasonably can. Where a record has to stay in place for a warranty, a tax obligation, or a legal requirement, we will tell you that rather than quietly leave it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy is the one that applies.
